After the surrender of Germany on May 7th 1945 many German companies transitioned to making uniforms and insignia for the occupying armies. This uniform was made by Paul Meier, a tailor in Bremerhaven Germany and was purchased by one of the Officers of the 82nd Airborne Division occupying Germany or Austria in late 1945. |
