Nobby Ankrum was born on November 4th 1917 in Braxton County, West Virgina from Richard Ankrum and Bertha Payton Ankrum. 1st Lt Ankrum was killed while piloting a A-20J 43-9653 "Havoc" Bomber on September 19th 1944, France. He was buried in the American Cemetery Luynee, France. |
