| There is no substitute for original data plates. Most original plates are faded, tarnished and usually in bad shape. After a vehicle restoration, most enthusiasts opt to replace original plates with reproductions. Why? Yes, most modern reproduction plates are of a high quality and are a very close match, but there is no substitute for an original data plate. Quest Masters now offering data plate restoration services for brass and aluminum plates. This process includes stripping of the original paint, cleaning the plate and then painting. Zinc and steel plates are usually difficult to restore due to heavy pitting, which cannot be filled. Zinc and steel plate restoration will be handled on a case by case basis. Restoration results are relative to the original plate condition. Dents, damage, scratches and pitting cannot be removed. We strive to restore each plate as close to the original manufactured condition. For plate restoration requests, please email us at questmasters@hotmail.com |
