The number denotes the design year of production. The example shown above was ground recovered from Courland, Lavia in 2015. |
| Russian WWII Ssh40 Helmet, above photo. This Ssh40 Helmet was ground recovered. The original owner of this helmet suffered a violent head wound, fracturing the top of the helmet and very cold conditions caused the steel to fracture during the shrapnel/bullet penetration. This helmet was from Courland, Lavia in 2015. |
